EAP as a Healthy Leadership Instrument


Good health begins with guidance, and good leadership is mainly a combination of two factors: promote workplace conditions conducive for success and be a trustworthy role model.

These two aspects of leadership are of particular importance for the health of employees.  It has been shown that it is not only the management style of supervisors and the leadership culture in a company which affect the well-being of employees, but also the presence of trusteed role models. This is particularly true with regard to the behavior of superiors towards their own health. Managers who take care of their physical and emotional well-being and have a healthy work/life balance inspire their subordinates to do the same.
